The Elusive Mr. X, thank you for your insights. As always you bring wonderful contrast to the dialogue! Which is why you are a great teacher and a great friend. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

Bravo Brenda! Congrats on this new endeavor. You are a prolific writer with many wonderful insights to share.
A couple of things before I go. Along with "can't afford" I would include "I want". It's another discrimination that implies lack. Switching to "I have" wherever possible reminds you that what you want already exists in your thoughts. Developing the ability to hold a thought vibration in the face of apparent contradictions is one of the keys to manifestation.

Also, discrimination is one of the most powerful abilities possessed by human beings, so while it's important to "always see the bright side"; it's equally important to see all sides or as many as is practical for the moment and then choose which side best suits the situation at hand.

Blessings to you and all, Namaste

Peter, so true. Just yesterday I had an amazing shoe shopping experience! And while normally any shoe shopping experience for a woman is amazing, this was especially so because of Anne the saleswoman at The Shoe Company who announced herself to each entering customer. She was bubbly and fun; you could tell she really enjoyed her job. She even talked me out of a buying a pair of shoes that didn't fit right (even though I reeeeeaally wanted them). I had been looking in the store for 30 minutes and didn't think there was anything else. But she found the perfect pair that fit perfectly. And I told her, "You're great at what you do, you can tell you really enjoy people." And she replied, "well, I just try to have fun." For a great little short flick, get out the tissues and watch "The Simple Truths of Service inspired by Johnny the Bagger" at:

I very much like the idea of living like you don't know if there will be a tomorrow. Not like we should all run out and quit our jobs, yet we keep putting off acknowledging those in our lives who make it special. I find just acknowledging the mail person or the guy in the corner store for always doing their job with a smile, just makes the world a better place.

thanks Allison. It is a wonderful feeling to know that what is primarily a venue of expression for my creative self is being enjoyed by others.
hugs back ;o)
